ARTISAN STORY: Born in the northern city of Chang Mai, artisan Apinya grew up in a place full of creative energy. Most of the people in his hometown work in the silver trade and are expert silversmiths. From this background, Apinya learned all he could in Chang Mai before venturing to Bangkok to seek his own path. This is where he met his wife Dao, who was an accountant by trade. The two of them opened a jewelry store in one of Bangkok’s busiest markets and with hard work and determination, he has built a successful business. His designs are a mix of modern influences with traditional silversmithing techniques that he learned when long ago. We love his designs and are excited to share his work with the world.
