Antique Alfred Meakin Oban Pattern Bone Dish c.1891- Set of 3 large soup dishes
This is a set of 3 bone dishes made by Alfred Meakin. They are a pretty grayish green floral pattern accented in gold against a white background. The pattern name is Oban. The backstamp is the oldest of marks for Alfred Meakin. It was used from c.1875-1897. After 1891 the word England was added. These little plates date from 1891-1897. They are a beautiful set. They have age related crazing on them. One dish has more crazing and staining than the others. Please see pictures. Each measures 9”.
