Apply this brush-on chemical to prepare aluminum for painting. Alodine 1201 Coating Chemical creates a light gold to tan conversion coating on aluminum, offering corrosion resistance and enhancing paint adhesion. This nonflammable, chromic acid-based chemical produces a chrome conversion coating on aluminum and its alloys. The resulting gold to tan coating integrates with the aluminum surface, providing an affordable substrate for both paint adhesion and corrosion resistance. Before application, use Alumiprep 33 Cleaning and Conditioning chemical to remove oxidation and oils from the aluminum surface. Meets MIL-C-5541B, Class 1A Method B.
