Half check chains are an excellent choice for making semi-tightened dog collars. Used in the production of training and martingale collars, their unique make allows for the collar to partially tighten without the full tightening of a regular choke collar. When the half check chains are made into a collar, two of the rings have the collar sewn onto them, and the third ring is used to attach the dog's leash when training. It is helpful as a martingale-like collar, preventing your dog from backing out of its collar. Half-check webbing collars for your dog are similar to a choke chain, but much more comfortable because the fabric on your dog's neck is softer than a full metal chain. With half check collars, the classic buckle is replaced by a chain, and the collar is put on by pulling it over the dog's head. Half check chains, martingales, and training collars should not be used on a dog that is tied up. This is not an acceptable tethering application. Chains, D-rings, buckles, triglides, etc., are sized by the webbing or straps they are meant to be used with. These chains are designed for use with 3/4-inch applications. Measurements of this product are: O-Ring: 0.78 Inch inside ring, 1.07 Inch outside ring, Chain: 3.29 Inch (from O-Ring to O-Ring with chain doubled).
