Overview
I'm an experienced leader in CyberSecurity Operations with over 25 years building and leading teams, designing solutions, and implementing change. I spent 20 years in Higher Education at York University and the University of Toronto, which gave me exposure to brilliant minds, government interactions, and vendor management. Currently at the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission), I am leading a number of changes, including IAM, infrastructure hardening, next-gen detection capabilities, and revitalizing a 24/7/365 SOC operation. My experience at The Beer Store and Scene+ allowed me the opportunity to apply my skills and experience to retail, online fraud, and socially engineered malicious activity in addition to traditional infrastructure security. With a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from York University and Masters Certificates in Project Management & Business Analysis from the Schulich School of Business, I apply a business mindset to all things technology-related. When I'm not working, my three daughters and I love road trips where the journey is more important than the destination. My daughters and I love being part of the community and volunteer for a number of different charities, initiatives, and community groups, and we enjoy the togetherness that comes from supporting others.
