With over 20 years of diverse experience in the healthcare industry, I am a seasoned professional with a strong foundation in management, quality improvement, patient safety, home care, and clinical practice. My career spans both frontline and corporate services, with 11 years dedicated to the Canadian healthcare system, including roles within Ontario’s healthcare system and the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Health. Throughout my career, I have led and contributed to numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational performance through patient safety, risk management, and continuous quality improvement. My work has consistently focused on achieving optimal outcomes by aligning strategic goals with operational excellence. I hold a Master of Health Management degree from McMaster University and I am a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), and a trained dentist. This unique combination of clinical and administrative expertise allows me to bridge the gap between patient care and system-level improvements. In addition to my professional roles, I have served as a college faculty member and mentor, with a passion for coaching new graduates and immigrants. Having immigrated to Canada 12 years ago, I bring firsthand experience navigating the job market, mastering resume building, interview preparation, and understanding Canadian workplace culture. I now use this insight to guide others through a strategic and systematic approach to career development by setting career objectives, identifying market needs, closing skill gaps, and tailoring job search strategies for success. My mission is to empower healthcare professionals and newcomers with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in Canada’s dynamic healthcare landscape. What drives me most is the opportunity to give back—helping others find their footing, just as I once did.
