For Mentors
How to join the mentorship team?
Careersa is growing, and we’d love to welcome more professional experts to our mentorship team. If you are interested, please submit your resume and cover letter to hr@careersa.org. Qualified candidates will be contacted to proceed with the next steps in the selection process.
How do I set up my mentor profile?
Once a mentor completes the registration process by following the system guidelines, a profile will be automatically generated. The mentor can then update and manage their information through the Mentor Profile dashboard, including uploading a professional headshot, writing a short biography, and adding an introduction video. This profile highlights your experience, industry background, and areas of expertise, helping mentees find the right match.
How do I manage availability and bookings?
All session availabilities are managed directly through your mentor dashboard after signing in. You can set and update available time slots at your discretion.
Signed-in jobseekers/mentees/clients can view your available slots and book appointments accordingly.
Once an appointment is confirmed, both you and the mentee will receive a confirmation notice.
After booking, jobseekers can communicate with you through the messaging board located at the bottom right of the platform for session-related discussions.
What are the different types of mentorship models?
There’re two types of mentorship models:
- A-Level (Advisory): Focused, short-term support such as resume reviews, career advice, and mock interviews.
- P-Level (Placement): Ongoing structured mentorship designed to support you toward the placement. This includes end-to-end job search support, meeting with mentors regularly, and a longer timeframe that may range from a few weeks to several months depending on the situation of each jobseeker. This model is designed to provide comprehensive guidance and support that may enhance the mentee’s opportunities in securing a role, but employment cannot be guaranteed.
What standards of conduct are expected from mentors?
Mentors must maintain professionalism, respect confidentiality, and provide constructive feedback. Examples of appropriate conduct include offering actionable advice, being punctual, and encouraging mentees to pursue realistic career options.
What happens after each session?
When an appointment session is completed, the system will send a message to the mentee requesting feedback and a rating of your service. This feedback will be publicly visible on your mentor page.
